The Equality Act 2010 requires employers to make ‘reasonable adjustments’ to enable disabled workers to carry out their jobs on an equal footing with non-disabled colleagues.
This course covers:
• An introduction to Section 20 of the Equality Act 2010;
• What counts as ‘reasonable’?
• Considering adjustments for mental health and other hidden impairments;
• Redress for members where the employer is not complying with their duties under the Act.
This is a course for Unite workplace reps.
