Introduction to ICT part 2

OVERVIEW
This online course has been developed following our commitment to our members and activists to support them in growing their computing and communication skills. The course concentrates on moving our ICT learners onto more challenging ICT concepts and packages
There are Eight modules within this course and these each cover different topics and in each module you have assignments to complete. Module One – ICT Security, Modules Two to Five – concentrate on working with Excel. Students then move on in Modules Six and Seven to look at PowerPoint, before finishing with Module Eight which explores the use of ICT to improve your productivity.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE STUDENT
- The student should have completed the Introduction to computing course or some other form of introductory course as this course does not include the basic elements covered in previous courses.
- Students must complete all modules in the time allocation given, this is generally two weeks per module, however these can be changed if the student informs the tutor in advance to give longer time allocations for students who have demanding work schedules or holidays in the middle etc.
- Students must complete and upload assignments in the timeframe given.
COURSE RESULT
The course is accredited by OCN and is a Level 2 certificate in ITQ
HOW TO GET STARTED
- On the homepage of this site you will see 'sign up now' post it note to the right of the page, simply complete the online form and ensure you identify the course title as ICT part 2
- Once you have completed your online registration an electronic questionnaire will be sent to you to complete and return. You will then receive a pre course document detailing what is expected of you and how the course runs, only then, can you be given access to the course area to begin the course itself.
